SuperGenius had some idle time, so we developed a diorama to celebrate and explore all our respective disciplines. Concept art, character art, props and environment, rigging and animation were all done in house by our team of artists. We’re all DnD nerds, so the theme seemed appropriate. We went with an American South-West environment and collection of plants as it’s a setting you rarely see associated with fantasy. I was responsible for environment art.
All assets are game ready, assembled in multiple real-time packages: Unreal, Marmoset Toolbag, and SketchFab. PBR texture workflow. All assets include two UV Channels for the ability to bake lighting.
This scene served several purposes, one of them being to demo proprietary Autodesk Maya tools at OMSI's (Oregon Museum of Science and Industry,) exclusive networking event and upcoming features showcase: Autodesk Hits Portland 2025. I also spoke at this event as a highlighted career professional, doing a live demonstration on my favorite retopology tool, Quad Draw.
The above image is from that presentation, rendered in Marmoset Toolbag.

My primary tasks were in environment art and foliage.
Below are isolated assets from the scene that I modeled, textured, and lit.
Each plant and prop is around ~6,000 triangles, save for the lamp post, which is ~12,000.

I contributed two character props to the project when one of our artists had too much on their plate.
A sword and a waterskin were made and affixed to the owlbear's pack of adventure gear.
The rest of the equipment props were modeled and textured by Jane Dangoia,

The below rendition of the scene was lit and rendered in Unreal Engine by SuperGenius Animation Director: Bryan Provencher. The owlbear was modeled by Brandon Leach, all equipment and adventure gear modeled by Jane Dangoia, and rigged and animated by Donald Fergus.
This scene was also used to make our company Holiday Greetings card with the addition of some snow, conifer trees, and by adding a few key props such as a Santa hat, some spectacles, and a big mound of presents. Here, I am responsible for the lit candle which replaced the fireflies, the holly, and various presents and present box variations.
